![]() Mark is a qualified teacher. In 2007, his pupils earned international recognition when they followed Gandhian principles, campaigning against modern slavery. This included them holding audience, by invite at The Home Office with MPs from the British and European Parliaments. The children also gave up their names for 26 days, boycotted chocolate, and worked with opinion makers BBC World, News 24, Newsnight, Today, and CBBC News. The children's approach was presented in the House of Lords as exemplary to all schools and they received a National Humanitarian Award from the British Red Cross. Their efforts were commended by the Prime Minister of Great Britain, the Archbishop of the West Indies and The Gandhi Foundation of the USA. Mark works in primary and secodary schools and for private contractors and more recently, presented a PSHCE campaign on a tour of schools around the UK and Ireland for the European Commission. Mark
worked on the first series of reality television programme 'Big Brother'
on Channel 4, and on the 10th Anniversary Tour of 'The Simpsons' for
Sky 1.
He later
joined The
Children's Company making niche children's programming such as 'Ripley
and Scuff' which won the BAFTA Award for Best Pre-School Series in 2003.
