Grassroots charitible trust,
The Tesfa Foundation

provides free education in Ethiopia for
4-6 year olds living in extreme poverty.

Tesfa provides an early education for these children to help lift them from the trappings of extreme poverty. Determined, many attend school in their
only set of clothes.

Now over 350 children in the areas of Shiro Meda - Addis Ababa, Debre Zeyit and Mojo are recieving the crucial early
education they need.

In Ethiopia, free, state education is unavailable to children under the age of 6. Tesfa believe all children have the right to an education and that 'the hope of the community is in the mind of a child'.

Teachers for the Tesfa schools are recruited locally, paid a fair local wage, and trained to a high standard. This approach is motivating adult aspirations and inspiring
hope within the community.
